Taking Back Control: Why I Chose Renewable Energy and the Power of the Service Industry
January 2024 became the year I took the boldest step yet—I walked away from the past and into the future of energy.
Life is a relentless teacher, and for those who truly listen, its lessons shape the course of everything that follows. My path has been carved by adversity, sharpened by failure, and strengthened by the fuel of failure is not an option. January 2024 became the year I took the boldest step yet—I walked away from the past and into the future of energy.
The Solar Opportunity in Oregon—Why Now?
Oregon is ripe for energy independence. For too long, Americans have been forced to rely on outdated energy models that drain their wallets and put their power in the hands of bureaucrats and monopolies. Pacific Power, PGE and others have absorbent amounts of control, and they are going down the same path as PG&E in California. Solar energy is a tool for independence. The cost of installation has dropped, and incentives allow homeowners to take charge of their own power supply, free from bloated utility companies and unreliable grids. We have the tools. We have the ability. Now, it’s time for action—and that’s where I come in.
I made the decision to dedicate the next chapter of my life to renewables because this isn’t just about power—it’s about freedom. It’s about giving individuals the ability to take control of their energy, their finances, and their future. It’s about keeping America strong by investing in self-sufficiency and private enterprise, rather than depending on bloated institutions that work against the interests of hard-working Americans.
The Service Industry—The Unsung Engine of American Prosperity
For years, I underestimated the power of the service industry, even though I spent 10 years in the space, working closely with business owners and operators. The transactional nature of sales and customer service seemed, at times, hollow—until I realized that it wasn’t about selling a product, or just a service. It was about selling belief. It was about giving people the tools and confidence to take action that benefits them in ways they hadn’t imagined.
There are statistics that back this up. People don’t just buy solar because of savings; they buy because of trust. According to research, over 70% of major purchasing decisions are driven by the experience of the sale—not just the product itself. The service industry is what bridges the gap between innovation and adoption. Without it, even the best solutions in the world remain unused.
My Bigger Mission: Why This Matters
This is where my past experiences collide with my new mission. Every hardship, every failure, every lesson in resilience has prepared me for this moment. I’ve learned that change is not about waiting—it’s about leading. And in the world of renewable energy, leadership means guiding people through the transition from outdated systems to an empowered, self-sufficient future. When you install solar, you’re not just cutting costs—you’re cutting ties with outdated systems that no longer serve hard-working Americans.
And I believe that those who step up to serve—to educate, to guide, to connect—are the ones who will drive this change forward.
So, why did I switch careers in 2024? Because the world isn’t waiting. Because I refuse to be a spectator in the fight for American strength and self-reliance.
This is just the beginning. The journey continues. And if you’re ready to take control of your energy, your future, and your hard-earned money—let’s talk. Because the future doesn’t wait for permission.
It moves forward with those bold enough to lead.
Stay with me. The revolution is here.
